We make it easier for employees to become Woolworths Limited shareholders and to share in the performance of the company. Once a year, eligible employees can choose to acquire shares by agreeing to forego a total of either $500 or $1,000 of pre-tax income over the relevant financial year. The Share Purchase Plan allows purchase of shares from pre-tax income via salary sacrifice with Woolworths paying the associated brokerage costs (benefit applies to Australian employees).

The Employee Assistance Program - EAP (known as Vitae in New Zealand) is a free confidential, independent counselling and professional support service for Woolworths employees and their immediate families. The EAP provides assistance with work-related or personal concerns which can impact an employee’s wellbeing and work effectiveness. If an employee or a family member needs help with alcohol, anger, anxiety, bereavement, conflict, depression, difficult people, domestic violence, drink driving, drugs, eating disorders, family, gambling, loss and grief, self esteem, stress, support, tobacco, trauma or work they can access confidential counselling 24 hours a day.
